Fire Stopping

Service penetrations in buildings, such as those made in walls, floors and ceilings for electrical, plumbing and mechanical services, can provide a path for fire to spread to different parts of a building. These penetrations must be properly fire stopped to protect against the spread of smoke and fire.

Tyco Building Services can supply and install quality fire stopping products to these penetrations. Fire stopping helps to contain fire so that it is more easily brought under control. We offer a wide range of passive fire rated products such as fire pillows, cable transits, fire mortar, sealants, fire boards, Hebel block work and backing rods. All products are tested in accordance with AS 1530.4 and, when properly installed, comply with the Building Code of Australia.

Products

We offer a wide range of hinged and sliding fire rated doorsets suitable for commercial and residential applications. Fire doors are manufactured to meet AS/NZS 1905.1 —2005 and comply with BCA C3, C3.5 - 3.11. Various finishes (veneers) are available such as paint grade ply, Tasmanian Oak, MDF and many others.
